SSTD clears 1,740 rft of Gadbana culvert under Cash for Work project in the target area of Malakand P. The water course provides water to more than 700 acre of land. Farmers of the target area were facing shortage of water due to blocked Gadbana culvert. Farmers and dwellers alike lauded the project and urged SSTD to continue with such activities.

SSTD successfully repaired Hazrana Retaining Wall and secured the adjacent agriculture land from flood. The project was initiated with help of ILO. People thronged to participate in the project to earn money and rebuild the broken wall.

With the support of ILO, SSTD rehabilitated a land of 9.5 acre and facilitated hundreds of people in the target area. The activity enabled the residents of the area to restore their livelihood.

SSTD has distributed as many as 10,000 blankets during the current week among the flood-affected community of District Shangla. Two thousand families of the targeted area were provided the Winterized NFIs, alleviating the suffering of women, children and other vulnerable people. SSTD is determined to scale up its winter relief in the affected area with the assistance of International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Kohistan: SSTD has kicked off its food distribution project with the assistance of WFP in District Kohistan. The project is aimed at providing food to the impoverished community of the area. SSTD will be working as an implementing partner of WFP to cope with the soaring issue of food insecurity in the target region. Around 13165 families will be benefited from the project in 10 different UCs of District Kohistan.
